The GBN Career Fair is open to all employers looking to recruit bright, motivated candidates who are alumni from Gonzaga, Academy of the Holy Cross, Georgetown Visitation, Holy Child and Stone Ridge School of the Sacred Heart. This large regional recruiting event typically attracts hundreds of students from all majors and disciplines looking for both full-time and internship opportunities. WHERE IS THE  CAREER DAY HELD?

The GBN Career Fair event is held at the Gonzaga College High School in the Carmody Gym. This is located at 19 Eye Street, NW, Washington, D.C. 20001.

 

WHAT IS THE SCHEDULE FOR CAREER DAY?

5:30-7:00pm

Attendee Check-in in CARMODY LOBBY 

5:30-6:00pm

Sign-up: Mock Interviews and Resume reviews in CARMODY FOYER. After sessions begin, Sign-up sheets can be referenced in BREEZEWAY

6:00-8:00pm

Career Fair for full-time, part-time, summer internships and co-op positions in Carmody Gym - Check-in/nametag required for admittance 

6:00-8:00pm

Refreshments and Peer-to-Peer Networking in Lower Commons 

6:00-8:00pm

One-to-one Career Guidance (Mock Interviews and Resume Reviews) in Upper Commons (20 minute sessions)

8:00pm

WHAT ARE THE FEES? WHAT DO THEY INCLUDE?

We ask that each Exhibitor to contribute a minimum of $300 per booth to cover event expenses which allows our young recruits to attend for free. If the fee presents an issue, please realize that we value your participation and it is not mandatory.

Basic Career Day Package includes ($300):

·         One 6-foot table – draped

·         Refreshments for up to two (2) attendees (private refreshment area adjacent to gym)

·         Company listing and website published in the Career Fair Event Guide*

·         Company listing on the Career Fair Participating Business website

 

Featured Career Day Sponsor Package ($500) includes (Only 8 available on a first-come, first-serve basis):

·         Preferred Front Row for high visibility booth location.

·         One 6-foot table – draped

·         Refreshments for up to three (3) attendees

·         Company brief description published in the Career Fair Event Guide*

·         Company logo on Featured Sponsor signage at event

·         Company logo as one of the Featured Sponsors on the first page of the Career Day Event Guide

·         Company logo as one of the Featured Sponsors on Career Fair Web Page

·         Company listing on the Career Fair Participating Business  Web Page

* Company must be provide information by publishing deadline of December 12 to be included. No exceptions.

 

WHAT ARE THE FEES FOR A DISPLAY ADVERTISEMENT IN THE “CAREER FAIR EVENT GUIDE”?

Advertising in the Program Guide is an excellent way to get your name out to potential employees. Full page or half page advertisement opportunities are available. Please call for pricing.

 

CAN I REGISTER ON-LINE?

Yes. Registration for the Career Fair will open in September, Contact your GBN Rep for exact date.

 

HOW DO I MAKE A PAYMENT?

Credit Card payments are recommended through the secure credit card payment section of the online Career Fair registration. Payment is due no later than 30 days after registration or two weeks prior to the event (whichever comes first), unless written arrangements have been made with the Gonzaga Business Network. You will receive an email when GBN actually receives your payment. Arrangements can be made to make payment by check, call for details. WHAT ARE THE DEADLINES?

·    Registration will open August 15 until the event fills up, at which time it will be closed and companies will be placed on a wait list.

·     The deadline for the GBN Career Fair Program Guide information and ad copy is December 16th. Please email ads to GBNCareerFair@gmail.com. Companies who register AFTER December 16th may not be included in the printed copy of the GBN Career Fair Program Guide, but will be posted on the GBN Career Fair website. GBN Career Fair is a very popular event and fills up quickly. When this occurs a wait list is started. If a registered company cancels, the other organizations on the wait list will need ample notice to make the necessary travel and/or recruiting arrangements. Companies are considered registered if they make a payment or arrangements with the GBN. No refunds will be given.

WHERE DO I PARK ON CAMPUS?

Parking is available on campus in the underground facility which is accessed behind the Walmart at Eye and First Street. There are 300 space available.

 

IF I AM BRINGING MATERIALS, WHERE IS THE BEST PLACE TO UNLOAD THESE?

For unloading and loading purposes, you may park temporarily at the circle (refer to campus map), accessed via gate immediately before Church/Eye Street. This is the mid-level of the school’s parking lot and we will have Career Fair staff and students available to assist you. After dropping your materials you will need to immediately remove your vehicle and park.

 

WHAT ARE THE PROCEDURES FOR SHIPPING MATERIALS TO GBN BEFORE CAREER DAY?

No. Unfortunately, Gonzaga is unable to receive and store items. We ask that you bring the items with you on the day of the event.
